What is Medifast?

Medifast is a portion controlled, nutritionally balanced, low fat and clinically proven program that helps people lose weight faster and more effectively than traditional diet plans. Medifast Meals come in individual packets that you mix with water and microwave or refrigerate. Medifast is available in a wide variety of foods and flavors including shakes, soups, stew, chili, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, fruit drinks, iced teas, hot beverages, bars and puddings.

When Was Medifast incorporated?

Medifast was incorporated in Delaware in 2002. In 2003, Medifast Inc. was registered and listed on the American Stock Exchange.

How is Medifast Inc. structured?

Here at Medifast we take pride in our ability to cater to each individual customer's strengths and weaknesses. Because of our customer's diverse needs we have several distribution channels:

Medifast Direct - Medifast products are sold directly to the customer via website or an in house call center

Take Shape For Life - Medifast products are sold though a person to person model that utilizes trained health coaches for a unique blend of motivation, networking, and results.

Medifast Weight Control Clinics - Medifast products are sold through a brick and mortar model that allows for medical supervision and has on-site counselors to offer additional support.

Doctors - Since being developed by a doctor in 1980, Medifast has been recommended by over 20,000 doctors and can still be found through many physicians today.
